LED vs. Incandescent

LED Lights

When considering replacement of your trailer lights, you may want to consider replacing them with LEDs. While there is more cost up front for LED lights, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.

LED lights last up to 30 times longer than an incandescent bulb. Moreover, incandescent bulbs have fragile filaments that can fail even before they run out of life. A good jostling, a well placed bump, corrosion from elements, etc. can all result in a failed light. LEDs also run cooler. Because of that, they are far less likely to fail due to a sudden drop in temperature, such as exposure to cold water.

It's a fairly straightforward process to swap your old incandescent light with LEDs. Often the existing wires from your old lights will connect right to the new LED. If you do need to run new wires, It's a good idea to use your old wiring as a snake to avoid having to remove coving or other coverings. Mirage runs wires through grommets and along paths of least resistance to make this process even easier.

If you need help deciding on which lights are best for you, or if you'd like help running your news wires and installing your lights, feel free to give us a call.
